THE INSTITUT D'ASTROPHYSIQUE WORKS REMOTELY

During the COVID-19 epidemic, with the help of administrators, technicians and engineers, we are continuing our astrophysical research, teaching the students at Sorbonne Université, and working together with our licence, masters and Ph.D. students, and our postdoctoral fellows.

We are remaining in contact with our colleagues both within our institute, nationally and internationally to advance the frontiers of research. We are doing all of this while remaining safe by working at home, respecting the advice of health experts and epidemiologists, and the requirements of the French government.

As we make new discoveries and advances in our knowledge of the Universe and its galaxies, stars and planets, as well as our place within them, we will continue to present these to the general public. During this difficult time, we hope that the deep understanding that our work and that of our colleagues brings will continue to inspire you.

Until further notice, the weekly seminar and the monthly public lecture are unfortunately cancelled. We do have an extensive library of public and professional lectures on the IAP YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/InstitutdAstrophysiquedeParis, in French), our partner Canal-U (https://www.canal-u.tv/producteurs/iap, in French) or those found by using our search tool on the IAP's website (http://www.iap.fr/ressources/videos/videos_recherche.php?langue=en).
