« Information content of high order correlation functions for Weak Lensing »

In order to fully exploit the constraining power of data that fu-
ture surveys like Euclid will provide, we need to understand how
the cosmological information content of the observables of interest
is diminished by the quality of our approximations. In particular,
the fidelity of the modelling of the statistical properties of the ob-
servables is paramount. Semi-analytical models for the non linear
clustering have been developed in order to avoid heavy simula-
tions (required for full-sky surveys). However, they might not be
as precise as required at all the scales of interest. Along with the
survey’s specificities, we need to understand how all these aspects
can affect our capability in estimating the value of the cosmolog-
ical parameters. I will present a pipeline capable to describe the
dependence of the Fisher information content on the cosmological
parameters in the case of weak lensing. The late time dark matter
field being non-gaussian, I will show how it is possible to increase
the retrieved information by considering the higher order correla-
tion functions of the field.
