« Black Holes, Cosmology, and the Structure of Spacetime » |
M. Parikh |
The intensive study of black holes over the last few decades has taught us a variety of sometimes surprising lessons about the structure of gravity and spacetime. I will describe several of these of relevance to cosmology, including an upper scale for inflation that comes from black holes, subtleties of de Sitter entropy, and the mysterious manner in which classical gravity appears as the thermodynamics of spacetime itself. |
