« Stochastic inflation and primordial black holes »

Syksy Rasanen

Primordial black holes (PBHs) are a longstanding candidate for dark matter.
I will discuss how to calculate the PBH abundance and mass distribution starting from the inflationary potential, taking into account stochastic effects and using the compaction function. We determine the radial profiles of perturbations directly from a stochastic calculation, trying to minimise the number of ad hoc assumptions. I will outline progress and how to address remaining open issues.
