"Interfacing analytical and numerical modelization of coalescing relativistic binaries"

I'll review various recent results at the interface between numerical and analytical, effective-one-body (EOB) based modelizations of coalescing relativistic binaries. I'll present new results for nonspinning and spinning black hole binaries as well as for coalescing neutron star binaries.

I'll finally mention how a simple extrapolation of the test-mass waveform is able to reproduce accurately the final recoil velocity (in the nonspinning case) as obtained by numerical relativity simulations.
