Résumé / Abstract Seminaire_IAP
« Cosmic reionization by dwarf galaxies and future directions »

Cosmic reionization is one of the largest events in the history of the Universe, but details about this process are still unknown. In this talk, I will start by reviewing the relative contributions from dwarf galaxies and AGNs, and share our recent efforts to understand the propagation and escape of LyC photons in GMCs. I will argue that LyC photons produced by young massive stars in dwarf galaxies are likely to have driven cosmic reionization, and discuss several emission line-based methods to find LyC leakers. I will end my talk by discussing potential impacts of the clumpy CGM on reionization and future directions of numerical studies.
