Past NEON schools

If you are interested in details about previous schools, you can see the following pages:

In 2105, the Observing School was, for the first time,  a Winter School, which was held at Asiago Observatory in Italy, from February 17 to 27th.
We used the 1.82m Copernico telescope at Cima Ekar (under the snow...) in remote control, and the 1.2m Galileo telescope down in the Observatory. You can find a report here.

The 2014 Observing school was held at the Rozhen Observatory in Bulgaria, from Sept. 17 to 24th, were we used the 2m telescope for spectroscopy, and the 50/70cm Schmidt, and 60cm Cassegrain telescopes for imaging/photometry. Details are to be found here.

The 2013 NEON Observing school took place at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in LaPalma (Canarian islands), where we used both the
INT 2.5m telescope and the NOT 2.5m telescopes. A full report can be found here

In 2012, the Observing School took place at the Asiago Observatory (Italy), where we used both the 1.2m Galileo telescope for spectroscopy,
and the 1.82m Copernico telescope at the Cima Ekar, with AFOSC, for photometry and spectroscopy. The Schmidt telescope was also used
for some wide-field imaging. The full report can be found here.

In 2011, the Observing School took place in Moletai Observatory (Lithuania), with spectroscopic observations in remote control from the NOT in LaPalma; the report can be found here.

The 2010 Observing school took place at Calar Alto Observatory, and here is the report.

No Neon school was organised in 2009, due to late arrival of funds, but we provided support to the second Rozhen observing school in Bulgaria in october (coupled with the first Awareness conference).

In 2008, we had two schools:
- The Seventh Neon observing school in LaPalma observatory in july: see here
- The Third Archive Observing school at ESO in september (see here)

The Sixth Neon observing school took place in Asiago Observatory (Italy) in September 2007, and can be found here.

The Second Archive Observing school took place at ESO-Garching in September 2006 and can be accessed from here.

The Fifth Neon observing school, which  took place at Haute-Provence Observatory (France) in July 2006, is found here.

The Fourth Neon Observing School (First of the New Series), which took place in Calar Alto Observatory in August 2005: see here.

Details about the First Virtual Observatory school (or Archive Observatory school), which took place in ESO-Garching in July 2004 , can be accessed from our page.

A full report on the Third Neon School, which took place in Asiago Observatory (September 2002), can be found in this page.

A summary of the Second Neon School, which took place in Haute-Provence Observatory, in France,  in July 2001, can be found at the following location.

A summary of the First Neon School, which was hold at Calar Alto Observatory in Spain in July 2000, can be found here.
